Ane’
My name is Ane’ Steenkamp.
I got into photography because I love capturing moments. I love the feeling of freezing something beautiful in time and being able to return to that moment through an image.
I also love editing, creating and turning photographs into something more than just an image.
Photography is a form of art to me. It is a way of seeing the world, finding beauty in the details and creating something that can be remembered.
I don’t simply want you to see a photograph. I want you to feel it.
When someone looks at one of my photographs, I want them to feel like they are living in that moment. I want the photograph to create emotion, atmosphere and a connection to the story behind the image.

For me, photography is about more than simply pressing the shutter.
It is about light, timing, composition, atmosphere, emotion and the small details that can easily be overlooked.
I look for the moments that feel real — whether that is the expression of a person, the movement of an animal, the energy of an action shot or the quiet beauty of nature.
Every photograph has the opportunity to tell a story.

One of the things I love most about photography is the creative process that happens after the photograph has been taken.
Editing allows me to bring out details, shape the atmosphere and create the feeling that I want the final photograph to communicate.
It is where photography and creativity come together.
To me, that is where a photograph becomes art.
